My name is Michelle, I began my swim teaching journey in 2006, sparked by curiosity at the swim school my son was attending lessons. I felt this would be a very rewarding job and could work around the children. I passed my teachers qualifications in 2006/2007 and became a teacher at the swim school my son was attending lessons.
In 2009, I was offered a teaching position for a renowned swim school run by a world champion, Soon after joining I was offered a more managerial role, managing venues nationwide, coordinating lessons, and hiring teachers.
After my third child was born, I felt inspired to establish my own swim school. In 2012, I started offering lessons to friends from a private pool, providing parent-baby, toddler, and one-to-one lessons. Through word of mouth these soon became very popular.
In 2013, I was asked by a friend to look at swimming lessons that were being organised by a group of parents who wanted some professional guidance and to take over the responsibility of organising the lessons. This was the beginning of Seachelles Swim School.
Following on from this, I then employed more teachers and managed to gain pool time at some other school pools.
Seachelles Swim School has continued to flourish over the years.
